Car Loan No Credit Lenders and the Risk You TakeContrary to popular belief, the phrase 'car loan, no credit required' is not a car financing scam. No credit auto lending is a valid practice. Many lenders acknowledge that not all people have a valid or creditable credit history simply because they never needed a loan before or never thought they needed to establish a credit standing for such a purpose.
But let us distinguish between having poor
credit and having no
credit history at all. Poor
credit is when you do have a
credit record.
After a lender does a credit check on you and finds that you have poor credit, this indicates that you can be a 'high risk'. As a result, you will end up with a car loan that has much higher interest rates. On the other hand, having no credit history does not mean you are a high risk only that the lender is not sure if you are one. There are many online lenders offering to no credit check car loans but always proceed with caution. Some questions to ask are:
1.) Is the interest rate very far from the prevailing prime rate for the
car you wish to take a
loan on?
2.) Are you asked to provide collateral for the
car
loan? And do you think the risk of loosing what you put down as collateral worth the
car
loan?
3.) Are the
loan terms reasonable? You may have low monthly
loan payments but for how long?
