Easy Auto Loan - Avoid Dealership Scams

Get your auto loan from a car dealer if you want an easy auto loan. Dealership loans are 1 stop car loans as they take care of looking for a lender to finance your car. They're also available almost at all times, so it really is a convenient way to apply for a car loan. All you need to do is fill in the application form and submit the requirements. Your car loan can be approved on the same day and drive away from the dealer in your new car. However, you have to be very careful when applying for an auto loan from a dealership as many dealerships have been known to get away with car loan scams.

Easy Auto Loan - How to Avoid Dealership Scams

Don't pay if the dealership asks for window etching fees. Car loan lenders don't require you to purchase extras for the car. Should the dealership claim that the etching is for free, ask for this to be put in writing, or better yet, you can just etch the car yourself.

Avoid applying for an auto loan through the dealership if you have bad credit, so you don't get overcharged. Instead, just go to a credit union and finance for the car yourself. When you buy a new car, the deal should be based on the price of the car and not on the amount of the monthly payments.

Be sure to bring a copy of your credit report when going to a dealer, so that they won't have a chance to lie about your credit score. If you are required to pay for extended warranty to get the loan, ask for this to be put in writing, so you can have it validated in the State's Attorney's office. When asked to pay for labor costs incurred in prepping up the car, ask for the amount to be added as credit to the deal to ensure that you don't have to pay the money. If the dealer refuses then decide whether to go ahead with the deal or just go to another dealer.
